Latest TORG Eternity Update

Core Rules Feedback Huge thanks go out to everyone who submitted feedback. After I post this update I'll take down the form. The file is being finalized for print so anything else now wouldn't make the book. I'll post a new form next update for any Day One issues. We'll get the updated version of the core rules out to people as soon as possible, hopefully by the end of the month. I want to set some expectations around the changes. We're fixing typos and formatting issues, not making general changes to the rules. There were some cases where an older versions of a rule got through and caused a noticeable conflict. Those we updated. There may be rules people are hoping would change that didn't. We tried a lot of different variations during playtesting and chose what we think works best for the majority of players. Occasionally on the forum I'll talk about why we made a specific choice, not so much to defend it but rather to share where we were coming from. People have different tastes, and that's a large part of why house rules exist. If you need to alter a rule to fit your own play style, please do, and feel free to share your tweaks and how well they work on the forum! Surveys A few more surveys are trickling in, and it looks like Eric has gotten in touch with everyone who contacted him. I won't repost it here because we try to leave links like that out of anything other than "backer only" communication. That's also why we ask anyone who's trying to point someone to Eric to refer them to Update #11 rather than directly posting his address. Thanks! :)

Unless something really surprising happens the PDF should go out next week and we'll have a week long feedback cycle with a similar form for it. I'm really excited for this one to go out. It's a very different Torg experience, but we had an absolute blast playing through it. For those of you new to Torg I think you'll find it extremely useful because it walks you through both the setting and the rules step by step. We have all the Celebrity Author adventures but one. Between layout and packaging I don't think those will be ready to roll out by the end of the month, but hopefully sometime in early August you should all get to see them. The next priority is the finalized character sheet (just a few small tweaks to it), and the intent is to post that as a form fillable PDF as soon as possible. (We're expecting the end of the month.) Once that's done the Archetypes will follow swiftly after. All the other items have the writing and art completed now, so we're just in the long process of getting it all assembled. We're still on track for October for the print materials and cargo boxes.
